Video Documentation Service Business Plan

Video Documentation Service Business Plan

Safe Keeping was developed from extensive research in response to public concerns about protecting their property. John Walter, the owner, was a law enforcement officer for more than twenty years. He served as the commander of the Eugene Police Dept’s burglary unit. Safe Keeping will be able to enter businesses and private homes and make a videotape of all the contents.

We can also be a consultant to help people protect their property. All videos are confidential. A copy of each video will be kept in a vault at the business. There are $4,000 in start up costs, including the cost for a video camera. John Walter is financing the start-up costs. Safe Keeping’s goal market strategy is to be an attractive choice for homeowners and businesses in the greater Eugene, Springfield region.

Our target markets will be small to large businesses wanting documentation of their belongings for insurance purposes. We will also target private homeowners with the same services. We will provide the best customer service and security knowledge possible, while maintaining the strictest confidentiality.

John Walter will maintain a simple yet comprehensive website. The site was developed and maintained by an outside contractor. Website will display our services and cost. Owner John Walter will manage all aspects of the business which includes bookkeeping, overseeing one employee Joe Norten. John will serve as the security consultant for homeowners and businesses.

Safe Keeping expects a 10% increase in sales for year 1, which will result in more than $116,000 in total revenue. This is a market that is still untapped in the security industry. Safe Keeping hopes to provide services for the Eugene and Springfield communities in the near future.
