Tracking Device Maker Business Plan
RQM Technologies is a promising start-up in the field of Personal Tracking Devices. Recognized industry analysts Ovum Research, ABI Research, and Ovum predict that it will be a $22B market within five years.
Products and Services
RQM develops and distributes miniaturized Personal Locator Devices. Initially, the manufacturing of our devices will be subcontracted, while we develop the supporting software and systems internally, although we plan to manufacture our products in-house in future years. We have patents that allow us to develop military-inspired proprietary technology, which allows our products to work anywhere, even in cities. Our products are also distinct in that they are small and fully programmable. The end user can customize our systems to suit their unique needs. For example, maritime applications that include a water activated signal (for when a crewman falls overboard), are different from business applications.
Our main target markets are, but not limited to: the family consumer (channel sales to OEMs), businesses tracking shipments and vehicles, the military, as well as the political arena. We have received interest from many of these target markets due to our unique programming capabilities, including one branch in the U.S. Military.
We believe our systems will appeal to families who are concerned about the safety and well-being of their loved ones. Global child abduction is on a rise. In the U.S. alone, there are more than 2,100 missing children each day (FBI National Crime Information Center). On the other end, there are 4.5million Alzheimer patients in the U.S. 60% of whom wander off their homes unaware of their surroundings at one point or another. Our devices have the potential to save lives.
We have over 500,000,000 potential customers. We will now focus on a realistic three-year goal of approximately 99,000 users around the world, which will result in many millions of dollars in sales revenue.
