Introduction

Godsend Concierge Service, (GCS), is a full-service concierge who primarily serves the untapped corporate market in Eugene. The company can handle almost any task that clients require, making it easy for them to make valuable contributions to their employer’s bottom line. Employers will welcome our service as it provides another form of compensation used to attract qualified workers.

Our most important objectives over the next three years are to use GCS in at minimum four of the top ten local companies and to increase our number clients served by 20% per annum through superior performance, word-of mouth referrals and superior performance.

The Company

The business will be run from home with Taylor Gogetter being the sole owner. Mr. Gogetter will work full-time at GCS. The company will hire 3 full-time employees before the end 1 GCS will pay more for quality employees as this is a high-demand industry. GCS will offer a comprehensive employee training program on a regular basis.

Services

Godsend Concierge Service can provide many services for its customers. While the tasks of employees will vary greatly, the core need will be for services/errands to be performed during normal business hours. Employees are not at work all the time, and the company would prefer that the employee is productive, rather than running an error.

Market

Corporations recognize that their employees have less free time than they used to, so they have begun to contract with concierge companies to provide their employees with a wide range of services as an additional form of compensation. We’ll be targeting Eugene with large corporations like Hyundai and Sony Disc Manufacturing. Medium-sized companies include Burley Design Cooperative and Palo Alto Software. Bike Friday is a larger law firm.

Some corporations offer concierge services to their employees. However, this is usually done through an employee in-house who handles the tasks. While it may seem like a perk to the employee, the concierge is more efficient for the company. GCS can provide concierge service to companies at a cheaper rate.

We can also help individuals who realize the value in having someone else take on tasks that they don’t have the time or decide it isn’t worth their time. This segment will be attracted by word-of mouth marketing.

There are currently two concierge-style companies in Eugene, which mainly serve individuals. GCS will be targeting companies because the market has been overlooked, and it provides larger volume, and more consistent work.

Financial Considerations

Godsend Concierge Service’s start-up costs will include all the equipment needed for the home-based office, legal fees, website creation, and start-up advertising. The projected growth rate for GCS is over 100% per year, with strong operating margins. GCS anticipates having sales of $156,000 in the next three years. GCS plans to bill clients at an hourly rate.
