Gamehenge Tapers Co-op, a non-profit organization, was founded to serve the Portland tapers. Tapers are a hobby-based community that trades recordings for personal and non-commercial use. The Co-op provides equipment to facilitate taping shows. This also supports the trading community which trades live shows for personal use. The Co-op offers recording equipment at wholesale rates + a low overhead percent. The Co-op encourages its members to become active tapers by offering heavily discounted rates. Because the organization operates as a non-profit cooperative, members will volunteer their time in order to help it succeed. The organization exists in support of the trading community.

A small fee for overhead and membership fees will enable the organization to meet its operating costs and grow. Gamehenge Tapers Co-op is increasing its membership roster by at minimum 20% annually.

1.1 Objectives

The objectives for the first three years of operation include:

• To create a co-op whose #1 goal is to serve its members.
• To increase the membership base by 20% each year.
• Provide Portland traders with overhead and cost-plus deals on CD-R media.
• To develop a sustainable co-op.

1.2 Mission

Gamehenge Tapers Cooperative’s mission is to support the Portland tapers community. We exist to retain and attract customers. All else will fall into place if we follow this maxim. Our services will exceed our customers’ expectations.
