Wi-Fi Kiosks Business Plan

Wi-Fi Kiosks Business Plan

Stroll Net will provide a unique forum for communication and entertainment through the medium of public Internet access. We will establish 16 Internet-enabled payment kiosks in Tech City’s public spaces. These kiosks will be used by students and business travelers alike. There are no other internet cafes nearby. The flagship location will be located next to the downtown train station and bus stop. Here, travelers can access email, find phone numbers and search directions via any of the many online mapping sites for as little as $1. They can also surf the web, as long as they have time and money. Accepting both dollars and coins, as well credit cards, allows us to capture both casual and serious travelers.

Stroll Net meets this growing demand. Americans want to be able access the Internet’s communications and vast amounts of information, without having to pay a lot and not being tied to their office or bedroom. Stroll Net’s goal is to provide the community with a convenient and affordable way to access the Internet away from home and the office.

This business plan is prepared to obtain financing in the amount of $299,671. Additional financing is required for the purchase and operation of public Internet terminals and the purchase office equipment, supplies, and vehicles. Additional financing has already been secured in the form of $10,500 of personal savings from owners Cam Piotr and Bob Green, and a long-term loan of $100,000.

Stroll Net will be incorporated as a Limited Liability Corporation. This will protect Bob Green and Cam Piotr from double taxation and personal liability. Investors will be treated like shareholders and will not be held liable for any more than their personal $5,250 investment.

Stroll Net will be financially able to continue its operations throughout the first year thanks to capital contributions from the owners. Stroll Net will provide innovative public Internet terminals to its customers and clients thanks to the large initial capital investment. Stroll Net needs a unique, innovative product to offer its customers a service unrivalled by anyone else. Stroll Net’s first year of operation will give it a strong customer base, which will enable it to become self-sufficient in the second year.

Based on cash flows, we expect dividends to be $100,000 in year two and $200,000 the following year for an investment of 299,671. These projections are based on actual business revenues from similar start-up customers of our internet kiosk supplier in other states. We expect revenues to reach $727,072 with a break even point of $42,599 a month and net profit to be 18.5%, which is $134,305. Stroll Net’s revenue will grow to $1136,067 in year three and its net worth will rise from $610,320 to $610,000. The cash flow will determine dividends; investors have the opportunity to be bought out by the company owners in year five.

1.1 Mission

We will add value to our community by maintaining a quality product and providing a valuable service. Our terminals use the most modern technologies. And our staff will have the best customer experience.

1.4 Risks

The risks involved with starting Stroll Net are:

  • Is there a need for Stroll Net’s services in Tech City?

  • Will the Internet become more popular? Or is it just a fad or trend?

  • Will Stroll Net’s service be affordable for individuals?

  • What happens if the cost of accessing Internet from home drops so drastically that there is no market for public Internet terminals available?
